10 Former Blue Devils in NBA Playoffs

My brother and I grew up in Durham, NC and we’ve been avid Duke Basketball fans since 1979. Some of my favorite Duke players of all time include Dawkins, Amaker, Snyder, Hurley, Laettner, Williams, Hill, Brickey…but not all of these guys played in the NBA Playoffs. The Duke University men’s basketball program is well represented though in the NBA Playoffs this season as 10 former Blue Devils have helped guide their teams to postseason play. Boozer and Deng (Bulls), Dunleavy, Jones and McRoberts (Pacers), Brand (76ers), Redick and Duhon (Magic), Battier (Grizzlies), and Williams (Knicks). Duke’s 10 former players in the 2011 NBA Playoffs are the most by any school. Florida and Kansas each have eight former players in action. The numbers make sense considering Duke has had nine NBA lottery selections the past nine seasons, more than any other school. I love this game.
