HAROSHI “Future Primitive” Exhibition

In continuation of our art series we wanted to recognize Japanese artist HAROSHI, who has earned worldwide acclaim for his unique 3D wooden sculptures made from recycled skate decks. HAROSHI will open a new exhibition next month in New York at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. His signature aesthetic blends the mismatched colors of skateboards through a layered process that replicates many real-life objects. His Nike Dunk High series is a great example. For this series he took used decks from well known Nike SB riders including Paul Rodriguez. The “Future Primitive” exhibition opens on April 16 and runs until May 14, 2011.
