KAWS Wood Companion Figure

Hypebeast picked up on this posting on the Medicom Japan blog today announcing a wood KAWS Companion figure, based off what appears to be the 5YL edition mold.  This is the third in a series of KAWS figures made of real hardwood, the first two of which are amongst my personal all-time favorite KAWS pieces.  The first 400% Medicom Be@rbrick figure was amazing because each one was unique due to the wood grain and the features were burned into the wood.  The second 400% Be@brick was done with Nexus VII out of a really cool black japanese hardwood.  These were both done in editions of 500.  The Companions are made of karimoku wood, are about 30cm tall and limited to only 100 pieces.  Expect to see them going for double that within hours of their scheduled May 28th release.
